In the 1990's, the discovery of the endo-cannabinoid system represented a landmark in cannabinoid science and since then the number of studies on cannabinoids and the CNS (Central Nervous System) has been growing constantly. Pharmacologically, we need to distinguish three different classes of cannabinoids.
